Your brow lamination result is shaped during application, but aftercare influences how the brows look and feel as they settle. The first rule is to follow the directions for the exact product used. Different systems can provide different care instructions, so brand specific guidance should come before general advice online.
The first day
Keep the brows in the position recommended by the instructions and avoid rubbing, pressing, or repeatedly touching them. Protect them from water, steam, heavy sweating, and products on the treatment area for the period stated by the manufacturer.
Plan your shower, workout, sauna, and swimming schedule before application so you are not forced to choose between your plans and proper care. Try not to sleep with the brows pressed into a pillow on the first night.
After the initial care period
Once the stated period has passed, gently brush the brows into the shape you prefer with a clean spoolie. Lamination does not mean they must stay pointing straight up. A soft upward and outward direction often creates a natural fuller appearance.
Cleanse the area gently. Avoid scrubbing the hair or dragging a cotton pad repeatedly across it. Reintroduce strong skin care near the brows only when the skin is calm and the product guidance allows it.
Conditioning the brow hair
Chemical hair services can leave hair feeling drier, so use the conditioning care recommended for your kit. More product is not always better. Heavy oils and unverified treatments can weigh the brows down or irritate the skin.
What is not normal?
A little temporary redness from touching or brushing can occur, but persistent burning, swelling, worsening redness, blistering, significant itching, or eye symptoms should not be dismissed as normal aftercare. Stop applying cosmetic products and seek appropriate advice.
The best aftercare routine is simple. Protect the brows during the required settling period, handle them gently, condition them as directed, and pay attention to both the hair and the skin.
