Brow Lamination Versus Brow Tint: What Is the Difference?

Brow lamination and brow tinting are often offered together, but they solve different problems. Lamination changes how the hairs sit. Tint changes how visible the hairs are.

What does lamination do?

Lamination makes existing brow hairs more flexible, moves them into a selected direction, and sets that shape. It can make a brow appear wider or fuller because the hairs cover the area differently.

It does not permanently colour the hair or fill bare skin.

What does tinting do?

Tint adds colour to brow hairs. It can make fine, pale, or grey hairs easier to see and may create a fuller appearance when those hairs were present but visually lost.

Tint does not correct a downward growth pattern or keep an unruly hair in a new position.

Can you combine them?

Only combine tint and lamination when the directions for both products approve the sequence and timing. Each is a chemical service, so combining them can increase processing and skin exposure. A method used by a professional with one system should not automatically be copied with unrelated at home products.

Which treatment should you choose?

Choose based on the concern. If hairs are visible but hard to control, consider lamination. If the shape is good but the hairs are too light to see, tint may be enough. If you have both concerns, use a compatible system or space the services according to the instructions.

Fuller looking brows are not always about adding more steps. Sometimes the most effective choice is the one treatment that addresses the actual problem.
